Bang and Olufsen announces BeoVision 8 HDTVMonday, April 16, 2007 True to their reputation, Danish art deco electronics icon Bang and Olufsen have announced their new BeoVision HDTV - a unit which not only looks awesome, but has some cool features, and of course their signature not-so-cool pricetag.
One cool feature worth mentioning is the audio technology integrated into the BeoVision 8 HDTV, specifically the speech reproduction, which is said to have the sound of a person talking appear to come directly out of their mouth, rather than the speakers. "When you're watching, it seems like the sound is actually coming out of the mouth of the person, rather than the speakers."The BeoVision HDTV has a black high-gloss acrylic pedestal stand, an integrated speaker loud enough to fill your room with sound, and a hide-a-way front control panel. Having the coolest HDTV set on the block is going to cost you though. Expect the BeoVision 8 HDTV to set you back about $3600.00 and is not expected to start shipping for another 3 or 4 months. Bang and Olufsen designer David Lewis is taking on the global tyranny of the ordinary flat screen TV. BeoVision 8 is, as David Lewis says: "...a television designed to be used instead of being switched off in the living room for most of the day." More info on the Beovision 8 HDTV can be found in the B and O forum. Powered by dBLOGGER |
